Belton Woods / Breakaway 2025

The weekend of drinking with some golf thrown in started with its usual 1st tee frivolity with all those in buggies thankful and those walking, well not so.

The first days winners were:

1. 1st Martin Deacon 36 points
2. 2nd Paul Jarvis also 36 points
3. Frog winner Simon (who booked his holiday ?? Maybe his Mrs haha ) Lock 16 points

Day 2 ensued with some very hung over and rough golfers but still a great day with the winners were

1. 1st Paul Jarvis 32 points
2. 2nd James Mason also 32 points
3. Frog winner Dave Giovi 15 points.

We all had our evening meal and half stayed at the hotel and half went into town( some for a second night Del, Cash and Deano to mention a few. At least they made it back for golf but very worse for wear)

The final day loomed with the last 2 groups made up from
Jarvo 68
Tom, Elliot and the Viking all on 60 in the last group out being chased by
Dave Jones 59
Dave Sullivan 59
Chris (Saturday) Jackson 57
Martin Deacon 55

However the race would come down to 3 in the end with all playing of far lower starting handicaps. But the winners on the day were:

1. 1st Tom Bennett 37
2. 2nd Elliot Evans also 37
3. Frog winner was Gary Griffiths 15 points.

So the final overall winners were:

1. 1st Tom Bennett 97 points
2. 2nd Elliot Evans also 97 points (loosing only on count back)
3. 3rd Paul (14 years) Jarvis 95 points and
4. 4th Andy Hughes 90 points (following a spirited charge of 36 points on the last day)

Overall frog winner was:

Gary Griffiths 55 points
