Benidorm Breakaway / 2024

Well, it was time for our annual jolly, and we were to start!!!

Most of the party headed into the town on the first day to sample a few of the bars and probably regretted it the following morning,

Day 1 started with the usual banter and crack on the first tee as each group headed off round what was a great course, and it proved a very tight competion with some close rounds the top 3 was 1st Dave Sullivan 35 points, Tom Potter 35 and Bob Potter 34

Day 2 with some very hungover people and in some cases still drunk guys on the tee (no names well apart from Cashy) on what proved to be a hard tight course Our captain Dave Owens romped away with the win on 44 points with Del Humphreys 39 and Bob Hinds 37.

This left the final day all to play for with Dave S,Tom P, Bob P and Bob Cliff in the last 4 ball but with 2 packs hunting them down It was close all the way to the last hole where Dave S birdied the last to win overall, Tom Potter was close but let Cashy get into his head from 3 holes in front shouting out that Arsenal had beaten Spurs.

Day 3 results Dave Giove 36 points Russ Hinds 33 and Keith Blumfield 31 The overall breakaway points were Dave Sullivan 94 Dave Owens 92 and Bob Hinds 91 This was followed again but a great evening meal presentation and lots of alcohol (again) and another memorable break away… see you all at Belton Woods next year.
