Mid Season Round-Up / 2023

The SGS 2023 is now well underway.
With a mixed bag in terms of the weather, members are hoping for a late Indian summer.
Event Results as follows:
June - Llandrindod Wells (Summer Salver) - Winner John Evans, Runner Up Bob Potter & Frog Steve Hand - A great win for John off one of the lowest handicaps in the sociey on a difficult course in the Welsh hills.
July - Wrexham (Captains Day) - Winner Gary Griffiths, Runner Up Dave Owens & Frog Andy Hughes - Gary found his 2022 Breakaway form to take the victory.
August - Penn (Presidents Cup) - Winner Tudor Owen, Runner Up Anthony Price & Frog Dave Owens - A long awaited win for Tudor well deserved. The flood gates have opened much like the weather on the day and he'll be hoping the first of many.
A huge thank you to the 2023 Captain Del Humphreys for a cracking day at Wrexham for Captains Day.
Up next is the SGS v Masonic Ryder Cup at Aldersey Green on 9th September.
