News Update - Ombersley Golf Club /

This month's event was held at the very impressive Ombersley Golf Club. 28 players attended with one Guest (Steve Hands). The weather was a little mixed but it generally behaved itself with just one major downpour. The course was in absolutely fantastic condition and the general view was that it was possibly the best kept course we have played in a long time.
The winner on countback was Russ Hinds with 39 points, with runner up and third placed Bob Cliffe also scoring 39. I had the pleasure of playing with James and Bob but a special mention has to go to James, playing off 8 handicap (off 5 next event!), but after a 300 + yard drive on the 18th, and then sticking it in the water and scrambling a point it ruined what would have been a 40+ pointer.
Anthony (Zippy) Price took the frog with 22 points.
One two was recorded by yours truly with a nice 25 quid prize :)
I think that most members would agree that Ombersley should be on the fixtures again in the near future.
