Oswestry Golf Club saw the opening day of the 2024 season and the welcoming of the new captain Dave Owens.
It also turned out to be one of the driest events we have seen for the last year due to the 2023 season being a very wet one.

The new captain welcomed everyone and thanked the outgoing 2023 captain (Del Humphreys).

The catering at Oswestry Golf Club was excellent with a wonderful roast pork dinner to end an great day.

The course was in great condition and some epic points scored with 4 members and 1 guest achieving 37 points with Zippy winning on count back. The frog winner was Bob Hinds

Special mention to James Mason who returned a wonderful 37 points (missing out on count back) but playing off a handicap of 9! Unfortunately for James he will be playing off 7 at the next event.
