A great day at Chesterton Valley Golf Club. Despite a couple of, let's say, quirky" holes the course was in good condition for the time of year and the weather we have encountered over the last few weeks. It was great to see Mr President out with us, we all wish him the very best, and for an old boy he can certainly hit a ball :)
There were some terrific scores returned with Del Humphreys coming in with a huge 44 points off 16. We also had another 4 players who scored over 40 points, I cannot remember another event where this has happened.
We also had our first ever 6 (six) pointer, OK, it was on one of the quirky holes, a par 5 reduced to a massive 165 yards, nevertheless Terry Thorne, with 2 shots managed the magical six points.
The average was just over 34 (another first maybe) but that was a score too far for Simon Lock who took the frog home.!
